Introduction
There are many very cool Indian tribes like the Shoshone tribe, the Iroquois tribe, the Lakota tribe, and the Nootka tribe. But my favorite Indian tribe is the Arapaho Indian Tribe. The Arapaho Indians are a very famous Indian tribe with a pretty early history.

Famous People There are many famous Indians in the Arapaho tribe, but I am just going to name a few. Chief Little Raven negotiated peace between Southern Arapaho, Cheyenne, Comanche, Kiowa, and Plains Apache. Chief Niwot brought the Ghost Dance to the tribe and served as the Principal Chief. Carl Sweeze is one of the most famous artists of all time of the Arapaho tribe.

Culture
The Arapaho Indians have a very rich culture. They believe in Be He Teiht, their overall creator. The Arapaho Indians also believe in being very close to each other and all the animals. They also have a deep respect and appreciation for their elders. The Arapahos also are a very peaceful tribe and they always have been. They don't believe in war.

Art
The Arapaho Indians aren't that much into art, but they still make some great art every once in a while. Arapaho Artists are known most for their quill embroidery and beadwork. The Arapaho Indians used their art skills with quill embroidery and beadwork to make clothes, moccasins, bags, and their tepees.
Weapons
The Arapaho Indians are a very peaceful culture, but they still have to use weapons now and then. The Arapahos are very good with bows and arrows, so that is their main weapon. The Arapahos also use spears and hide shields.

Transportation The Arapaho Indians are not a coastal people, so they don't use water much for transportation. A lot of times, the Arapaho Indians would use travois, or a sled, to carry much of their belongings. But after horses were introduced to America, the Arapaho Indians became expert riders.

Housing Almost all Arapaho Indians lived in Tepees. These Tepees are different from most though. The Arapaho Indians Tepees would be built so they could be set up and taken down quickly, and so they could be all packed up and ready to go in about one hour. The Tepees were only about twelve feet high, but when they acquired horses, they started building Tepees up to thirty feet high!

The Arapaho Indians Now The Arapaho Indians have come a long ways since when they came to the Great Plains in the seventeenth century. Now a days, the Arapaho Indians are just like you and I. They live in normal houses and buildings, just like everyone else. They use cars and trucks and other kinds of common transportation, just like you and I. So don't go thinking because the Arapahos have a different culture, they aren't like all other Americans.
